matt took me to foreign cinema. uber trendy place with great food. :) they show movies outside, projected on the wall of another building and subbed. we stayed for the food, but left before trainspotting started because i'm a wuss and it was cold. the 4 pots of hot green tea didnt help.
also bought the s400 at jenn's suggestion. she suggested the s200 or 230, but after doing lots of research.. the price difference between the 200 and 230 was about $130. which only gets you another megapixel. the difference between the 230 and 400 is $100, which gets you another megapixel and 1x more zoom. i splurged. feeling a bit guilty. :x
